Srinagar: Authorities on Saturday shut the Jammu-Srinagar Highway for vehicular traffic following heavy snowfall at the Jawahar Tunnel.

An official said that the fresh snowfall on both sides of the tunnel has made the road slip[pery and as such the decision to suspend traffic movement on the highway was taken.

He said the traffic would be restored in the highway after the weather improves.
