Srinagar: Authorities in Wednesday suspended the traffic on Srinagar-Jammu highway following snowfall at several places since morning hours.

Officials said that the traffic on the highway has been suspended as a precautionary measure due to snowfall on both sides of the Jawahar tunnel, Shaitaan Nallah and Banihal.

They said that several inches of snow has accumulated making the highway slippery.

They said that the traffic will be restored on the highway once the weather improves.
