Cold wave holds grip again, Srinagar shivers at minus 6.6 Degrees Celsius

Srinagar: Cold wave gripped Kashmir Valley including Ladakh region again on Monday after a days respite.

The minimum temperature plummeted several notches below the freezing point in Kashmir’s capital city Srinagar to minus 6.6 while it was minus 2.2 on Sunday.

An official of the Met department said the minimum temperature was minus 5.5 degree Celsius in Pahalgam, and minus 5 degree Celsius in Gulmarg.

Leh recorded minus 14 degree Celsius as the minimum temperature, and in Kargil, it was minus 17.2 degree Celsius.
