Srinagar: Intense clashes erupted in Hanjan village of Rajpora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district Saturday during and after the gunfight that led to the killing of four militants.

Reports said that youth took to streets and pelted government forces with stones near the gunfight site to disrupt the operation. The forces fired teargas smoke shells and pellet fires to disperse the protestors.

The clashes were going on when this report was being filed.
