Srinagar: One militant has been killed in a gunfight in Renzipora village of southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district Friday morning, reports said. The slain militant has been identified as Ishfaq Yousuf Wani.

The gunfight erupted in the village after a joint team of government forces including Army, Jammu and Kashmir police’s Special Operations Group and CRPF paramilitary forces cordoned the village.

As the forces zeroed in on the specific locations where militants were suspected to be hiding, the militants fired at the forces triggering a gunfight.
