Srinagar: Government Friday ordered cancellation of Jammu and Kashmir Group Mediclam Insurance Policy for all state government employees including employees of PSUs, autonomous bodies, universities, pensioners and IAS officers.

The cancellation will come into effect from midnight of December 31, 2018.

A communique informed: “Sanction is accorded to the revocation, withdrawal of Govt order regarding the implementation of the group mediclaim insurance policy for all State Gov Employees including employees of PSUs, Autonomous bodies, universities, Pensioners, AIS officers etc with effect from midnight of 31st December 2018.”

“Accordingly all the DDOs concerned are directed to not deduct the premium regarding the GMIP from the salaries of the employees henceforth,” the order issued today reads.
