Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday condoled the demise of a former Kashmir University Vice Chancellor and Padma Shri awardee Prof Hamidi Kashmiri who passed away last night.

Recalling the contribution of the deceased towards Urdu literature, Mehbooba conveyed her sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President GA Mir has also expressed grief over the death of Professor Hamidi Kashmiri and conveyed his condolences to bereaved family.
