Ganderbal:The dead body of a girl who went missing on December 25 was recovered on Thursday from a power canal at Panzin area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Officials said that a 20 year old girl identified as Rubeena Bano, daughter of Nazir Ahmad Tandooli, a resident of Wooder Kangan was missing since December 25 and the family members had registered a missing complaint at police station Kangan.

Police Tuesday recovered her dead body from power canal of upper Sindh Hydel Project at Panzin Kangan.

Officials said that after conducting postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
