Srinagar:The family members of a porter killed in cross-border shelling on Thursday staged a protest to demand compensation.

Reports said that the protesting family placed the body of the porter who was killed yesterday on the road at main bus stand Nowshera.

The protesters demanded a fair policy for army porters who are regularly getting killed on the Line of Control.

On Wednesday, the porter identified as Bodh Raj, 55, was killed in firing along the Line of Control in Nowshera area of Rajouri district.
