Pulwama shuts against killings for 6th day

 

Srinagar: Pulwama-the Southern district of Kashmir remained shut for the sixth consecutive day on Thursday against the Killings.

On Saturday three militants and an army soldier were killed in a gunfight in Sirnoo village of district Pulwama.

Seven civilians were also killed and scores of others were injured in Forces action in the area on the same day.

Ever since, the district has been shutdown while internet service is too suspended.

All shops and business establishments remained shut for 6th straight day while transport also remained off the roads.

The coordination committee in Pulwama has extended shutdown till December 21.

Witnesses added that a large contingent of Forces were deployed to maintain law and order in the district.
