People should be allowed to choose their representative, says Dr Farooq

Srinagar: Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday pitched for elections in the state.

Speaking to media at his Gupkar residence in Srinagar after two former PDP leaders Basharat Bukhari and Mohammad Hussain joined the party, senior Abdullah said that the President’s rule, which will start tomorrow, should be ended soon and elections should be held in Jammu and Kashmir so that people chose their representatives.

Dr Abdullah said: “Governor and the President’s Rule must end. People should be allowed to choose their representatives.”
