Srinagar: The Srinagar trader’s body – Beopar Mandal Mahraj Gunj on Tuesday condemned the killing spree in Kashmir by the government forces.

Khurshid Ahmad Dalal, President of the body in a statement said that “killing spree is because of the unbridled powers given to the government forces”.

“We shoulder the coffin of our dear ones daily basis,” he said and added “if this bloodshed is not stopped, it will have undoubtedly the dangerous consequences”.

Khurshid Dalal appealed the members of Indian Civil Society groups to rise to the occasion and help stop bloodshed in Kashmir. He said it was high time for Indian Civil Society and humanity loving people to raise voice against the atrocities unleashed on the people of Kashmir.

“All the business establishments in Mahraj Gung and other adjoining areas observed a complete shutdown for straight three days soon after the news of Pulwama killings came into light,” he added.

The Beopar Mandal Mahraj Gung extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families of the slain Pulwama civilians.
