South Kashmir: Youth critically injured as forces fire bullets to break-up protests in Pulwama

Srinagar: A youth has been critically injured near the gunfight site in Kharpora village of southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Sources said that the youth was hit by a bullet near the gunfight site during intense clashes with government forces. “He was shifted to a local hospital from where doctors referred him to Srinagar’s SMHS hospital.”

Eyewitnesses said that government forces fired bullets indiscriminately to break up the protests which erupted soon after the gunfight ensued in the village.

The gunfight left three militants slain and two army personnel injured. The identity of the slain is being ascertained.
