South Kashmir: Death toll mounts to 9 as 4 more civilians killed

Srinagar: Four more civilian have been killed during clashes with government forces in southern Kashmir’s Pulwama taking the civilian death toll to six and overall death toll to 9 including 3 militants.

Eyewitnesses said that government forces fired indiscriminately at the civilians who were protesting the killings of three local militants in a gunfight earlier in Kharpora village of the district.

Doctors at district hospital Pulwama confirmed that four more dead bodies were received at the hospital. “All the four were declared brought dead,” they said.

Earlier, two civilians were killed in the clashes with government forces near the gunfight site.
