Omar terms Pulwama killings ‘a massacre’, says ‘excessive force used’

Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday termed the Pulwama civilian killings as a massacre.

Omar said that the government forces used excessive force and that there is no other reason as to why seven civilians were killed.

He said that the only way to describe the killings is to call it “a massacre”.

The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference working president said that the administration of Governor Malik has only one task to focus on the security of the people of J&K and restore peace to a troubled valley. However, it appears that’s the only thing the administration is not doing.

He took a dig at the governor and said that publicity campaigns and front page advertisements do not bring peace.
