Light rains, snowfall likely in Jammu and Kashmir in next 24 hours, predicts MeT

Srinagar: The Kashmir meteorological department has predicted light rains and snow across Jammu and Kashmir while a cold wave continued unabated on Saturday.

The overcast conditions have increased the minimum temperatures marginally, the MeT department said.

“The minimum temperatures have marginally increased today (Saturday) due to cloud cover. Light rain and snow is likely to occur in the state during the next 48 hours.”

The minimum temperatures in Srinagar, Pahalgam and Gulmarg were minus 1.2 degrees Celsius, minus 3.7 and minus 6, respectively.

Leh town recorded minus 6.6 degrees Celsius while it was minus 11.4 in Kargil.
