Kashmir: Shopian teenagers ‘cold-blooded murder’ deeply disturbing, says Omar

Srinagar: Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and National Conference working president has condemned the killing of class 11 students by militants in southern Kashmir’s Shopian district and termed it deeply disturbing.

Omar also hit out at those who according to him sympathize with the outfit who killed the youth.

Taking to micro-blogging site twitter, Omar said: “The cold blooded murder of an 11th standard student by the Hizbul Mujahideen terror outfit is deeply disturbing. There can be no justification for this act & should force those who sympathise with these outfits to question how these murders make Kashmir a better, freer place. (SIC).”

The bullet-riddled body of Nadeem Manzoor, son of Manzoor Ahmad Dar, a resident of Safnagri village of Shopian was found on Friday in a Pulwama village. A police officer told Kashmir Reader that the body of the killed student was found in Niklora village in neighbouring Pulwama district.
