Modi accepted his mistake in Supreme Court: Rahul on govt affidavit on Rafale

New Delhi: Continuing his attack on the Narendra Modi government on the Rafale deal, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said the Government’s affidavit in the Supreme Court on Rafale was an admission by Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he changed the contract without consulting the Indian Air Force.

In a post on social media, the Congress president said, “Modiji acknowledged his theft in the Supreme Court. In the affidavit, he admitted that he changed the contract without consulting the Indian Air force and put Rs 30,000 crore in the pocket of Anil Ambani.

“My friend, the picture continues.’’

The Centre on Monday submitted an affidavit in the Supreme Court containing the details of its decision-making process in the Rafale aircraft deal.

In the affidavit, the Government is believed to have admitted that approval of the Cabinet Committee for Security was taken after the deal was signed by the Prime Minister.
