South Kashmir: Govt forces resort to aerial firing following intense stone pelting in Tral town

Srinagar: Government forces on Friday fired several shots in the air after a bus they were traveling in came under intense stone pelting in bus stand of Tral in southern Kashmir.

Witnesses said that the incident has led to a spontaneous shutdown in the town.

A fierce gunfight is going on in some fifteen kilometers away from the main Tral town in Dar-Ganiegund village of the Pulwama district.

The gunfight erupted after government forces cordoned off the village after inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
