Srinagar: A o3-years girl slipped into an irrigational canal near her house in Kangan area of  Ganderbal district in Central Kashmir on Wednesday afternoon.

Officials said that a minor girl identified as Seerat Bashir 03, daughter of Bashir Ahmad Dar, a resident of  Kangan while playing near an irrigational canal slipped into it.

They said the body of the little girl was fished out and immediately rushed to Sub District Hospital Kangan were the doctors declared her brought dead.

After completing the legal formalities the body has been handed over the family for last rites.
