DC Srinagar says 300 MWs restored, shares pictures of damage to power infrastructure

Srinagar: The deputy commissioner Srinagar, Syed Abid Shah has said that the authorities have restored 300 Mega Watts of electricity out of the normal load of 380 Mega watts.

“Out of the normal load of 380 MW , Srinagar district is feeding approx 300 MW as we speak.  Any outages at the local level due to transformer/wire damage is being catered to by the PDD immediately,” deputy commissioner said.

While sharing pictures as to how the government was dealing with the situation, he said that  all the concerned authorities were working up all night while desperately trying to provide succour.

“We will do whatever is humanly possible & beyond to restore 100 %,” he said.
