Sehrai anguished over killing of mentally challenged person by Army in Shopian

Srinagar: Tehreek-e-Hurriyat chairperson Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai on Saturday said that the way Indian forces are also killing mentally challenged persons, reflects the mental and “moral bankruptcy of government forces” towards the Kashmiri people.
In a statement, Sehrai said the forces were taking advantage of draconian laws like the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), which gives unbridled powers to these forces and instigates them to target unarmed civilians.
“He condemned and expressed anguish over the cold-blooded murder of Rayees Ahmed Wani of Kulgam in Shopian by forces and said, the draconian laws like the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) allow forces to shoot at anybody merely on the basis of a suspicion,” a spokesperson of TeH quoting Sehrai said.
