Northern Kashmir: Sopore shuts for second consecutive day against local militants killing

Srinagar: Sopore town and its adjoining areas in northern Kashmir’s Baramulla district are shut for the second consecutive day against the killing of a local militant Naseer Ahmed Teli in a brief shootout with government forces late Thursday night.

Witnesses said that all shops and business establishments remained shut in the town while a thin movement of traffic was visible on roads.

Authorities have ordered closure of all schools and colleges in Sopore to prevent protests.
