Srinagar: Government forces on Wednesday launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Shopian village of southern Kashmir.

Reports said that forces laid a siege around Losedenow village this afternoon and started a search operation.

Sources said that the CASO was launched after inputs about the presence of militants in the village.

The search operation is still underway in the village.
