Srinagar: A photojournalist was injured after he was hit by pellets while covering stone pelting clashes in Meminder village of south Kashmir’s Shopian.
The clashes erupted after government forces launched a CASO in the village following a militant attack on Army patrol.
Witnesses said that scores of people hit streets in the village and pelted rocks at the government forces. The forces lobbed tear gas canisters and fired pellets to disperse them.
A local journalist identified as Aijaz Dar was injured. He was removed to the nearby hospital for treatment.
