Srinagar :A PDP worker was  shot dead  by unknown gunmen at Gangbug area of Tengpora in outskirts of Srinagar on Sunday evening.

Official sources said that the gunmen fired upon the PDP worker Identified as Mohd Amin Bhat at Gangbug.

Bhat received serious bullet wound and was taken to JVC hospital for treatment.

Sources said that Bhat, close aide of former minister and Senior PDP leader altaf Bukhari.

SSP Srinagar Imtiaz Ismail Parray confirmed the attack and said that the person has been hospitalised.

However, Bhat later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.

Soon after the attack goverment forces have launched hunt to nab the attackers.(GNS)
