Srinagar: Intense clashes erupted in Kulgam district of southern Kashmir on Friday amid pro-freedom protests against the killing of militants in Arwani gunfight on Thursday.

Reports said that one teenager has suffered bullet injury during the clashes.

Scores of the youth from Khudwani, Redwani, and adjoining areas clashed with government forces and hurled rocks at them, who retaliated with tear gas shells and pellets to chase the protestors. “The police action has left several injured,” witnesses said.
