SSB man injured in Tral succumbs, Jaish claims the attack

Srinagar: A SSB personnel who suffered serious injuries late Sunday evening in a militant attack in Tral village of southern Kashmir’s Pulwama district succumbed to injuries.

Militants fired upon a SSB establishment at Midoora village in Tral, resulting in serious injuries on personnel.

“The injured personnel identified as Ct Vijay Kumar was shifted to army’s 92base hospital for medical attention, however, he succumbed to injuries at the hospital.”

Police have registered a case and taken up investigations.

Meanwhile militants outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) has claimed the attack.

“Jaish-e-Mohammad has started avenging the killing of innocent people in Kulgam by launching sniper attack on army camp,” a spokesperson of the outfit told a news gathering agency.

The attacks will continue in coming days, the spokesperson of the militant group said in the statement.
