Kulgam killings: Mirwaiz appreciates Pakistan’s concern

Srinagar: After the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan condemned the killing of civilian in Kulgam and batted for a dialogue to resolve the Kashmir dispute, Hurriyat conference (M) chairperson Mirwaiz Umar Farooq appreciated Pakistan’s concern.

However, he said that to put an end to the “appalling grind of repression and human right abuse” urgently requires Pakistan as a party to the dispute to do much more.

The Hurriyat (M) chairperson was responding to Pakistan PM Imran Khan’s tweet where he said: “Strongly condemn the new cycle of killings of innocent Kashmiris in IOK by Indian security forces. It is time India realised it must move to resolve the Kashmir dispute through dialogue in accordance with the UN SC resolutions & the wishes of the Kashmiri people.(SIC).”
