Kashmir municipal polls: Polling begins swiftly in Uri; Till 10 am 35% voters cast votes

Srinagar The northern Kashmir’s Uri township is witnessing brisk polling in the third phase of local bodies’ polls on Saturday.

Reports quoting officials said that 35.11% polling was witnessed till 10 am. A total of 1247 voters have been polled their votes so far out of 3552 registered voters. These include 685 males and 562 females.

Polling began on Saturday for third phase of the urban local bodies’ elections in 96 wards spread across four districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Polling began at 6 am and is slated to end at 4 pm.
