Municipal polls: Congress resorts to bogus voting in Bandipora, accuses independent candidate

Srinagar: An independent candidate accused Congress candidates of bogus voting in Ward No 14 of Bandipora municipal committee on Monday.

Muhammad Akram Wani, contesting ULB polls from Ward 14 of Bandipora municipal committee alleged that some policemen cast their votes early morning.

A minor scuffle also took place as the independent candidates raised hue and cry in the polling station, reports said.

Voting began in the constituency at 7 am today. 189 votes were cast until 9 am, according to figures issued by the district election officer.
