DSEK acting like a dictator, accuse coaching centers’ administrators

Srinagar: The coaching centres of Kashmir have accused Directorate of School Education Kashmir Dr GN Itoo of imposing his ‘will’ upon the schools and coaching centres.

The administrators of the coaching centres said that Director School Education DR GN Itoo is virtually acting like a dictator and without being aware of the ground reality has asked them to complete the syllabus of students well before Board examination slated mid-October.

On Monday the director had asked the Coaching Centre owners to arrange extra classes for the completion of syllabus well before Board examinations.

“Why didn’t Director School Education talk about that precious period when government shut down coaching centres in Kashmir Valley? There is no coordination between Board of School Education and Directorate of School Education. Both seem to work on different lines,” said a representative of a private coaching centre.

“We had soughAt more time for the completion of syllabus but Directorate of School Education seems to be in a hurry to conduct the examinations which is total injustice for students,” he added.

Pertinently, the director has notified that dates for Class 11th examination which will be held from October 28. Previously the examinations would be held at the end of the year. (CNS)
