Crime Branch registers case against Estate Department employee

Srinagar, Sep 28, CNS: Crime Branch Kashmir registered a case against an employee of Estate Department for duping the gullible people over the pretext of providing the Govt. Plots for residential purpose.

Crime Branch Kashmir received a complaint from Mehraj-ud-din Bhat alleging their in that one Farooq Ahmad Malik S/O Hayat Malik R/O A/P near P/S Parimpora, an employee of Estate Department projected himself as a member of “All J&K Baygar Association” an NGO involved in arranging plots for needy people induced the complainant to pay huge amount in advance for getting plots allotted in favour of desirous families.

Complainant paid huge amount for the said purpose. But neither the residential plots were allotted nor the money is returned.

Subsequently, verification was initiated in Crime Branch Kashmir. During the probe it came to fore that the NGO under the name and style “All J&K Bayghar Association” was got registered in the year 2013 by a group of some persons and the suspect Farooq Ahmad Malik along with others were found to have lured the complainant and his relatives under the garb of providing Govt.

Plots for construction of residential houses and induced them to pay an amount of Rs 7.50 lacs. But the said NGO has failed to provide the residential plots to the complainant.

Later on complainant demanded of return of the money so paid but same was not returned. In this manner the suspect Farooq Ahmad  Malik S/O Hayat Malik R/O A/P near P/S Parimpora and his accomplices have cheated the complainant and his relatives under a well knit conspiracy by grabbing Rs 7.5 lacs from the complainants in a fraudulent and dishonest manner.
