Abducted Sopore tailor killed, body recovered

Srinagar: The dead body of 45-year-old tailor who was abducted from his home by unknown gunmen in north Kashmir’s Sopore village on Saturday night has been recovered from Latishart village. 

Reports said that the masked gunmen barged inside the house of Mushtaq Ahmad Mir son of Gulam Rasool Mir at Harwan, Sopore late last night and abducted him.

A police official said that the dead body was recovered in the morning in the Latishut village orchards far away from the Harwan village where from he was abducted.

The police in a statement claimed that Mir was abducted by militants. 

Police said that the family of Mir had lodged a complaint after which a manhunt was launched to trace him.
