Srinagar: The gunfight between militants and government forces resumed in forest area of Sumlar in northern Kashmir’s Bandipora district Friday morning.
A police officer said that a fresh gunfight broke out this morning after the joint team of army, SOG and CRPF intensified the combing operation to trace out the hiding militants.
Earlier two militants were killed in the gunfight late last evening. The gunfight broke Thursday afternoon after the joint team of army’s 13RR, SOG and CRPF launched cordon and search operation at ShokBaba forest. (With inputs from GNS)
