Former Ikhwan commander presently serving army shot dead in southern Kashmir

Kulgam: A former notorious Ikhwan commander and presently serving Territorial Army was on Monday shot dead by militants in southern Kashmir. 

Identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Malik alias Mukhtar Gola, the army man was shot dead by suspected militants at his house in Shurat village Monday morning, sources said.

Malik, who was serving 162 battalion of the territorial army, has in past been commander of notorious pro-government outfit Ikhwan.
