5 injured, 2 with bullets, in Kulgam clashes

Srinagar: Two civilians have suffered bullet injuries during clashes with government forces in Chowgam village of Kulgam district Saturday morning.

Reports said that two were hit with bullets while intense protests were going on in this south Kashmir village against the militant killings.

Local sources said that at least five civilians have sustained injuries during the clashes so far.

Sources at Sub District Hospital said that five injured were admitted to the hospital, two of them with bullet injuries. After necessary medical aid all the five have been referred to District Hospital Anantnag.

Five militants were killed in a gunfight with government forces in Chowgam village of the district earlier today.

The gunfight that started late last night, ended today morning with the killing of five militants, police sources said.
