Srinagar: A horrific road accident left at least eight passengers dead and several others injured in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

Reports said that a minibus bearing registration number JK17-0662 skidded off the road and rolled down into Chenab river at Thakrie in Kishtwar district around 9:55 am.

“Eight bodies have been recovered so far during the search operation launched by the Jammu and Kashmir Police along with the locals,” officials said.

They said twenty-five people were on board when the mishap took place.
