North Kashmir: Handwara shuts to mourn militant killings

Srinagar: Handwara district in northern Kashmir is observing a complete shutdown on Wednesday to mourn the militant killings.

Two militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba were killed in the wee hours on Tuesday in Giloora village of Langate in Handwara.

The two were identified as Furkan Ahmad, a resident of Handwara and Liyakat Lone a resident of Sopore.

Reports said that all the educational institutes are shut in the district while traffic is off the roads.

Authorities have also snapped the mobile internet services in the district.
