Throat-slit body of non-local labourer found in Sopore

Srinagar: The throat-slit body of a non-local laborer was found inside a rented accommodation in Arampora area of Sopore in northern Kashmir. The laborer was a painter.

Locals said that the painter’s body was found in a critical condition and the labourer was immediately rushed to Sopore hospital where from he was shifted to SMHS in Srinagar.

However, the labourer succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Haroon Rashid, 23, son of Taiyab Alam, a resident of Padamapur, Dighalbank Bihar.

The deceased was working as a labourer in Sopore for last six years, locals said.

Police have filed a case and taken up investigations.
