No impact of Bharat Bandh, protests march by Cong in Srinagar

Srinagar: Though there was no impact of Bharat Bandh, Congress on Monday took out a protest march in summer capital, Srinagar against steep increase in petrol and diesel prices during the BJP led NDA rule in the country.
Business and other activities were going on smoothly and transport was also plying normally on routes. 


Train service was also resumed on Monday after remaining suspended for two days for security reasons in south Kashmir.

Work in government offices and banks was normal while educational institution were also functioning in the valley.
Hundreds of Congress workers and leaders led by Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) G A Mir took out a procession from party headquarter near here against the price rise of petrol and diesel.

Raising slogans against the Centre government, they marched from their PCC headquarter through Moulana Azad road. They later returned back only to disperse peacefully at party headquarter.
