Srinagar: Government forces on Saturday afternoon laughed a cordon and search operation in Chakrodikhan village near fruit Mandi in Sopore.

The operation was jointly launched by Army’s 22 RR, Special Operation Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF.

Sources said that the government forces have cordoned the whole village thereby affecting the traffic movement.

A police official of the Sopore police district told The Kashmir Press that the Cordon and Search Operation was launched after inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
