Srinagar: District Magistrate Srinagar, on Wednesday, directed all Petrol Pumps operating in Srinagar to provide fuel to only those who drive with a helmet on two-wheelers.

The order issued from the office of the District Magistrate Srinagar said: “Now therefore in exercise of powers vested in me under section 144 CRPC, I Dr Syed Abid Rasheed IAS, District Magistrate Srinagar, hereby direct that all petrol pump owners operating in the territorial jurisdiction of the district Srinagar shall not provide fuel to two-wheelers who are without helmets.” the order also said that any Petrol Pump found violating the order shall be liable to punishment.
