Jammu: In a major setback the passengers, especially those travelling from here, are set to face hard times in coming days as Indigo has withdrawn three of its flights from Jammu Airport to major destinations.

According to sources, Indigo has called off three of its important flights from Jammu to major destinations like Jaipur, Hyderabad, Delhi, Bangalore and Amritsar thus adding woes for the travellers.

“Three of the flights from Jammu to major destinations have been withdrawn by Indigo without any specific reason,” V K Gautam, Station Director, Jammu Airport here said.

He said that the decision has overburdened other operators and passengers are facing lot of problems.

“We also had a meeting with the Chief Operations of Indigo and Spicejet and our efforts to get these flights restored, are on,” said Gautam.

He added that earlier Spicejet had also withdrawn one of the major flights covering Jaipur, Chandigarh and Dehradun from Jammu and vice versa.

Meanwhile Jammuities have slammed this decision of Indigo of withdrawing flights from Jammu, which a major destination.
