IAF MiG 27 crashes in Jodhpur

 

New Delhi: A MiG-27 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashed on Tuesday morning in Jodhpur Rajasthan.

However, the pilot ejected safely from the aircraft before the crash, in an open area Deolia Kalan village in Jodhpur.

According to a defense spokesperson, the MiG flew from Jodhpur on Tuesday morning on a routine mission, but developed some problem and crashed.

The reason behind the crash is yet to be ascertained, the spokesperson said and added “Court of Inquiry will probe the cause of the accident.’

A mishap was averted as the plane crashed in an open field.
