First abducted youth released after 48 hours; confronts bear before reaching home

Srinagar: The Tral youth who was the first to be abducted in the abduction spree by militants in South Kashmir returned home Friday evening.

Asif Rafiq Rather who is son of a policeman Rafiq Ahmad Rather was the first kin of any policeman to be abducted by the militants from his residence at Pinglish Tral. His abduction was followed by 10 more kidnapings in South Kashmir in the following 36 hours.

Talking to  reporter at his home just after his return he said that he is presently in utter shock and can’t talk about this incident as of now. “I was released in complete darkness in the woods and while hurrying towards home I was confronted by a wild bear also, I somehow dodged the animal and managed to reach home”.
Pertinently, Hizb commander Riyaz Naikoo has released an audio clip which has gone viral on social media. The Hizb commander has taken the responsibility of the recent abductions and warned the J&K Police about further action against their families if their conditions are not fulfilled. (cns)
