Srinagar: Unknown gunmen abducted son of a policeman from his home located in Pinglish village of south Kashmir’s Tral area on Wednesday.

The locals identfied the cop as Rafiq Ahmad Rather and his son as Asif Rafiq.

They said the gunmen forcibly entered the house of Rather and abducted his son. They took him to the undisclosed location, they added.

The cop is currently posted in CID wing of police.

Asif is a student of BSc. Agriculture.

The police sources said that the police and other goverenment forces have launched a massive manhunt in Tral and its adjoining villages to trace the abducted youth.
