Jammu:A police constable has been suspended after his official weapon went missing in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
An Ak-47 of a police constable on the intervening night of Aug 26-27 went missing in Poonch, police sources here said.
They said that the constable was posted as Private Security Officer with a senior police officer and he has been placed under suspension.
“The weapon is missing and we have suspended and detained the cop,” Rajiv Pandey, SSP Poonch here told UNI.
He said that enquiry has also been ordered into the matter.
Meanwhile, an alert is also sounded in the bordering district, post weapon missing. UNI
