Srinagar: At least five activists, including Gautam Navlakha have been arrested by police in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon violence case.

According to Quint the other four have been identified as  Sudha Bharadwaj, Arun Ferreira, Vernon Gonsalves, Varavara Rao.

Meidia report quoted Shivaji Bodkhe, Joint Commissioner of Police (law and order), Pune, who said that they had conducted raids across Hyderabad, Delhi, Haryana, Mumbai and Ranchi.

The arrests and raids, according to media reports, are about ‘over-expanding investigation into alleged Maoist involvement in the Elgaar Parishad, an event that was held a day before the bicentennial of Bhima Koregaon.
