Sopore: The Sopore Coordination Committee members on Saturday said that they will shed blood to defend the Article 35A which define’s permanent residents of the state. The SCC was holding a sit-in at Iqbal market Sopore to protest the attempts to revoke Article 35-A.

 “We the residents of Jammu and Kashmir will shed our blood to defend Article 35-A. Which is our identity, we won’t succumb to the pressure of communal forces,” said ,Haji Mohammad Ashraf Ganaie president Traders Federation sopore. 

Members of Traders Federation, Civil society, Bar Association Sopore, Fruit Growers and dealers association Sopore, Teachers association, private school association, members of NGO Dawn, Aima’s of Masajid’s, members Industrial Estate Sopore, Members of Anjuman Moin-ul-islam Sopore, members of Press club of Sopore and various other organizations participated in the sit in.
